Well, most stories start at the beginning, but I’m afraid the beginning wouldn’t do us good; the story I’d say starts maybe somewhere in the middle.   The middle may not be a good place but it’s as good as it gets. The reason to start in the middle it’s because in order to talk about the bands I was in I have to start somewhere, you don’t want to know about the bands, that didn’t make any noise.  You want to know about the ones that had some sort of success.

I always had the desire to have a successful band.   The problem is and always will be, it takes more than one person to make a band…..

The first band that I met with marginal success was “Wired”.  I got together with Bert Davis a guitar player who also wanted to put a band together.  We wrote songs and started auditioning people for our project, we wanted to play out but of course we needed the people.  We were looking for a two guitar attack, drummer, bass player and a front man, Me.  We were doing gigs all the time changing people.  In one year we went through 2 bass players, 7 guitar players, 7 drummers.  The final band roster, we went into the studio, we recorded 6 songs.  In a barn in Cohasset (hey, we didn’t know) only one of us had recorded before.  Believe me if I knew what I know now it would have been different.  We basically recorded all the songs in one open room with baffles on the drums.  I was the only one who was not in the same room as those guys.  I was in the control room, that’s where the vocals were recorded.   We recorded…. Luv To Rock “N”Roll….demons in disguise….damned if you do, damned if you don’t….Lady Killer…..Footsteps In The Fog….Can’t Wait (No Longer), Instant “Wired” Classics.   The word on the street was our demo tape was at epic records and they picked “Til Tuesday” instead of us.   Hence these gentlemen couldn’t stand that, after all the hard work and intense clubbing they wanted to call it quits.  Thus making room for “Demon Witch”.
